saalih niyyah

Sayyiduna Abu Darda RadhiAllahu A’nhu reports that Rasulullah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam said: "That person who goes to his bed with the intention of waking up at night to perform salah but he was overcome by sleep till the morning, what he intended will be written for him and his sleep would be a charity for him from his Lord." Sadly, 7 years of being a Taalibah-e-'Ilm has come to an end...

May Allah tala accept my efforts and always keep me connected with teaching and learning the Deen. I still remember from Maulana Abdul Haleem sahab's saying that "after these seven / eight years you are now capable of learning"...Makes one think of how vast this knowledge is. May Allah give me more blessed opportunities to delve more into the oasis of knowledge...Ameen, inshAllah.

Reflection

"There are people in this world who base their happiness and success on how deep their pockets are, how much they have saved, and what name brand item they can purchase. Just remember that at the end of the day, no amount of money will beautify your soul, your once deep pockets will be empty when you die, and your real success lies in how you made people feel, not what clothing brand you wore or car you drove.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated, "The two feet of the son of Adam will not move on the Day of Judgment in front of his Lord until he is asked about five things: about his life, and how he spent it? And about his youth, what did he consume it in? And about his money, how did he earn it? And what did he spend it on? And how much did he act upon what he knew?"

Did you notice that out of these five questions, two deal with money?

We live in a society full of people who always want more. Let's take a step back and remember our purpose in life. In all this hustle and bustle, don't lose your humanity. True happiness and success are the moments you have with your mother laughing at your goofy anecdotes, your son taking his first steps, your sleep-deprived roommate baking you a birthday cake. No amount of money can replace such moments. Money comes and money goes. Don't let it consume your heart and soul."

Ramadan 2013

I hope everyone's Ramadan is going well! If you're out of sync with Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala this is the time to re-tune your heart. Given a day we can bring change in our lives...given 30, we can change forever, insh'Allah. It's never too late. Please keep me and my family in your special duas this month!‪ #‎RamadanAwaits‬

Tips on How to Complete the Qur'an this Ramadan

The Qur’an has 600 pages approximately...
If you divide it on 30 days, that’s 20 pages a day.
You see, that’s difficult to do right?
But, if you divide it on the 5 prayers a day, it gets easier:

*If you read 4 pages after every salah in Ramadan, then you’ve completed the Qur’an.

*If you want to complete the Qur’an twice, you read 4 pages before and after every salah...

InshAllah, with a strong intention and will, we can do it!

Ramadan Kareem!!

4 weeks of mercy, 30 days of worship, 720 hours of spirituality, 43,200 minutes of forgiveness & 2,592,000 seconds of Happiness...make the most of it!!
